Triple Choice Tuesday is a regular feature that Kim at Reading Matters has on her blog. She invites bloggers, writers, and readers to share three books that have meant a lot to them at some point in their lives. It’s a fun way to share books with other readers.
I am happy to say that today is my day! If you are interested in seeing what books I chose, pop over and have a look.
To see some of the other Triple Choice Tuesdays she has featured, you can find them here. I have discovered so many great books this way.
OK, now I’m really looking forward to The Sea Captain’s Wife, and it has a lovely cover!
I just realized we didn’t pick it, but I will go get a copy anyway.
I tried really hard to get it picked! But, that’s okay, you can read it anyway!
I think I voted for it on the second round. Actually, on second thought, the way we voted was flawed, because we voted in the first bunch of books with two votes each, but the second set, all had three votes. It seems like we should have done it from total of all votes, but then again, it could have taken forever!
Yes, I think it’s good that it’s done, and we have a good little list of books. I’m looking forward to them! I am getting a little anxious about The Bishop’s Wife, though- it hasn’t come in at the library yet. But, there’s still almost a month…
I just went ahead and ordered The Bishop’s Wife from Amazon, because my library only had a few copies and a waiting list. I couldn’t be assured of getting it on time. It has arrived already from Amazon. I guess I could have looked for it locally, though.
I might have to do the same!
Oh, boo! The American version has a much more mundane cover!
I just went to look up the American cover – why do they have to mess with a good thing?
I guess it’s the paperback cover versus the hardcover. I actually paid more than it probably cost in the first place to get the hardcover. I am so . . . I don’t know what. Imagine doing that!
Ha! But, you’ll be happy to have the nicer cover. 🙂
I think so, too.
Good choices, Naomi. I’ll check out The Nine Lives and The Sea Captain’s Wife. (I’m curious to see the US cover after reading the comments…)
The cover isn’t too bad, but they have two completely different feels to them. If you decide to read either of them – I hope you like it/them!
A good cover will do so much – it’s the Sea Captain’s Wife for me, too. -Tania
Yay!
